How to automate Telegram signals to MT4

Telegram trading signals are popular because a provider can broadcast entries to a channel in seconds. The failure mode is also obvious: you see the alert late, mistype the lot size, or miss the stop. A Telegram to MT4 bot exists to close that gap — not to invent a strategy.

What automation actually does

A copier reads a message, extracts side, symbol, entry, stop, and targets when the format is parseable, then sends an order to MetaTrader 4 (or MT5, cTrader, or TradeLocker if that is the build you licensed). If the text is incomplete, the correct behavior is skip and log, not guess.

Read the product page for the Telegram trading bot before you assume every channel format will parse.

Setup checklist

  1. Run MT4 on a machine that stays online for the hours you copy (local PC or VPS).
  2. Map provider symbols to broker symbols (XAUUSD vs GOLD, suffixes like .m).
  3. Set risk as fixed lots or percent, plus a max open trades cap.
  4. Decide whether to copy the provider’s SL/TP or override with your own.
  5. Demo for at least a week of typical message quality.

What a copier will not do

  • It will not tell you if the provider is worth following.
  • It will not prevent slippage when the channel posts after a spike.
  • It will not keep you safe if you copy martingale or “unlimited recovery” calls.

If your provider is noisy, filters (keywords, ignore replies, require SL) matter more than shaving milliseconds.

If you already trade a mechanical open or imbalance setup instead of signals, look at the ORB bot or FVG bot rather than forcing those ideas through Telegram text.
